Ok, people are getting a bit excited here. There is obviously some winding up going on, so lets ignore that. But, are we saying that Conference National is OK as a starting point for this forum's guidelines? Because that does kind of contradict what I have heard in the past.

I am relatively new in these forums, as I'm sure you realise, and it would be nice if this was clarified as I always thought it was 'lowest possible division' as stated above.

Or is LLM more a style of play, regardless of division?

Cheers.

LLM is surely a style of play regardless what division you're in.

Adding to that it's normal to start in the lowest league available.

Two exceptions to that rule are generally acceptable:
1) Wannabee llama's who want to try out living the life of a llama but don't want to jump into the deep right away
2) Lousy pc specs preventing loading all available divisions (although I assume very few are having such lousy specs to justify this excuse as even my 3 year old pc is quite capable of running a few leagues at once)

No ambiguity there as to what a LLM club is, yes?

Quote:
In England, and any other Nation with "Feeder Leagues", e.g. Portugal or Italy, then the lowest available League is the "Feeder League", in England The Conference, but if the spec of your PC doesn't allow the "Feeder Leagues" to be loaded, then the Lowest available League becomes Division 3.

Nice and easily explained.

Play all the divisions your computer lets you. However - you'll only be deemed "proper" LLM if you're playing in the Conference N+S.

People will generally get away with the Conference because when the guidelines were written, there was no conference N+S in the game, so a lot of Llama favourites are now conference sides.

Also a lot of the Llama's are so old that they don't have up-to-date PC's that let them play all those divisions. Think of the dilemma your dad faces when trying to work a DVD player - that's what its like for those guys...

Ok, thanks guys.

It is easily confusable (partcularly for new people) when Kostis (Kfool i assume) and the stickies both say 'lowest available div' and this thread was seeming to allow Northwich as an acceptable starting point.

I could be wrong, but I would imagine most PCs that are capable of playing FM are capable of having just all English divs on a small database? I stand to be corrected though!

I get the impression though that the important thing is how you play the game, ie, in a LLM style.

Keep calm fids, don't hurt your head!!!
