Season 5 - League 2 eh?
With there still being money in the bank, I set about not getting anybody for most of the season! Until Christmas I was in a safe mid-table position which for the club I was and the players that I couldn't buy was a good performance.
Then! I signed two players! A defender and a Midfielder. A change in training as well helped a few of my young players kick into another gear with my left winger becoming amazing and the midfielder I bought both baging goals from mid-field. Plus my star striker was still scoring. It looked like a run of 16 games unbeaten and winning the majority of them, that I would be promoted in my first season. And then everyone started playing rubbish! Form fleted and I made it to 6th due to there being a large gap built up over the season. But I was still in the playoffs, which was amazing in its self.
Long story short - I lost in the final! I was not good enough and knew I had to go back to the drawing board. Hopefully next season will see promoting?
