Firstly - Thank You for all the nice comments. Anyway back to the update:

Season 4 - After an average start to the season things looked to be picking up, as with a run of 10 games unbeaten I managed to force my way into the play off places. Then due to it being Christmas (I hate Christmas on Champ Man/Football Man games!) and with a few key injuries I managed to only win one game in eight and slipped to nineth in the league. This was meet with a large amount of shouting on my part and a slight change in tactic. Magically it sorted out my defensive problems, and lead me on a run that had me winning 8 games straight and moving to top of the league. I then chocked badly and finished second by 2 points. Not a happy bunny!

The play-offs therefore loamed - league football at stake. After destroying Maccesfield 5-0 in the second leg (they did have 10 men for 75 mins) I got into the final against Hereford. In a tight fought match I managed to win 2-1 and league football was mine! WOOOOOOOOOO! *straightens tie* And the rebuilding process began as league survival was now the aim.

Yep, survival is deemed a success in your first league season with small clubs like Ashton.
