hi. I've been reading various threads on here and finally decided to put fingers to keys!!!!! I really wish I's kept some sort of season diary like others, because I'm now in 2009 and cant remember all the details!I started as Lancaster City in the Conference North and sneaked promotion at the first attempt via the playoffs. This was followed by promotion from the conference and the fa trophy, although i cant remember if it was through the playoffs or not. This was all done with a mixture of good loans and frees, with a few good cheap signings. I then preceeded to gain promotion from League Two at the first or second attempt using bosmans, loans, etc. In League Two, I struggled, but stayed up, and in the second season finished 10th and won the LDV Trophy. I have money to burn(about £1.5 million), but the board wont allow me to spend more than £1400 a week on any player, hence I struggle attracting players!! i've used the same tactics I've used since CM3, with the same success!! Hope this is of interest!!!

You might want to space your updates out a bit to make them easier to read, some of the posters here do not have English as their first language.

Nice, i'm the other end of your problem....can offer people £45k a week at league 2???, but only have a wage budget of £17k

I;m in League One, but my game has been split. I've had loads of job offers from The Championship as well as my own division. I accepted one from Charlton in The Championship, but saved before I accepted. I now play both games, and have finished the season as Lancaster as described above. As Charlton, I have taken them into the Premiership as champions. In my first season there, I qualified for the intertoto. I have won that and qualified for the Uefa Group stages. My squad has been built with several good youngsters, but more quality Bosmans. The best one being a certain Swedish striker released by an Italian club who sounds like he should be Croatian!! Any guesses!!!!!! His current seasons stats are P16 G16 A18 MOM 12 AVE 8.6! My reputation has also gone to continental. This is the last I will mention on this strain of my original game as I dont think it should come under this heading ( unless I'm told otherwise)! I will concentrate on the Lancaster game for this. Finally, I have continued to use the same tactics, training, etc on both games, with continued success!!!!
