Default Changing Clubs

i have niticed people round these parts are very sensitive when it comes to llm stuff.

what is the general concensus on changing clubs.

e.g. you are doing well for a conf north side. take them up a few divisions they reach their potential then you move on to pastures new. is this all part of the career game or abandoning your beloved?

switching clubs is no problem. Some people see it as unrealistic though to change to a club that is much higher in the leagues than your current club (like from Conf to Championship) and won't do it. Also, a kind of consensus is that you don't apply for jobs but wait until they come in asking for you (unless you're unemployed, then you can apply).

Take a look at some of the update threads, chumpmanager (especially those with multiple pages). Changing clubs is a part of a manager's career, and since LLM is about realism it would be bizarre to exclude it.. Much as some of us would like to emulate the Crewe manager and stay at one particular club, we often find ourselves moving on for many and varied reasons.

The guideline regarding changing clubs is that it should be realistic. You're not likely to secure a move to a Prem club if your biggest acheivement so far is a last day relegation escape from Conf N. Some prefer not to jump up more than one division by job changes.

also, a friendly hint: try searching this forum first before you start a thread on your own. Many questions have been asked and answered before.

If you are employed, wait for an offer before changing clubs. Unemployed you're free to apply to all 'realistic' clubs.

Offers that look blantantly silly are to be rejected. The rule of thumb is 1 league up. That can be stretched a 'little,' but not too far.

My moves in my current game were 2 places, 13 places, and cross leagues to a lower placed team in a higher rep league (France League 1 to Spanish Premier), the two sides were nearly equivalent in the UEFA ratings (actually the side I went to was slightly lower). People start raising eyebrows if your move goes 35+ places.

You can move down as far as the game will let you.
