If the board are happy to stick by you whilst you develop a team then you are on a winner! A lot of grey players are better than most LL players anyway!
The annoying thing for me would be having to re-select your team each game as I seem to remember that grey players are removed after each match. (That may have changed in FM)

Stan, in FM grey players are the same to my feelings. At least, i recon some guys in u-18 squad during a season.

Actually they can be injured. It happened to one of my players. I am running CM4 and I don't have FM so I can't say if grey players can get injured on FM.

| My players do stay selected for each game. It's going to be interesting to see if I can even get loan players much less players to actually sign for me.
I can't wait until my third season, my update should be interesting (if I make it that far).

Well, they do get injured *in the match*, but after - they're good as new, even after a plain crashes in your penalty area | |
