I just spelled it myself. I bet it's full of mistakes, since I suck at Russian, plainly. It's supposed to be along the lines of 'Komitet gossudarstwennoi besopasnosti'.

Back then, in Poland, it was pretty useful to know some Russian though.

With the other thing i cannot agree. Since everybody supposed to be a "member", only those few chosen were above.

In terms of equality, vast majority was equal, lesser amount was "more equal", and those few were "absolutely equal".
