Default Bloody foreigners.

Bloody Canadians. What's that aboot, eh?

The AI seems a bit lost on work permits at times. I tried to sign a GK who was clearly the Romanian #1, 30-some caps at age 25. No dice. Turned down flat for a permit. Had the scouts check on him periodically. Just before the next transfer window they reported he should have no problem getting a permit, and lo and behold he did. (he had a min release clause, so getting a bid accepted wasn't a problem). He got one extra cap in the interim.

Work permits are gay, end of!

Why not just have restrictions on the number of 'overseas' players (to use a cricket term) that can be named in the match squad like other Countries do?

because work permits have nothing to do with football. The UK just doesn't want to let chaps in who are likely to take more than they give. So high reputation players (who are likely to earn a lot and thus spend a lot) are welcome, while a lowbie yet-another-wherever-you're-from is getting the boot.

But if they are gay, shouldn't real poofs admire them and live in unity with them? :ghey:

Indeed it was, I mulled over the arguments for and against work permits for a while but thought it only right to give the LLaMas a brief summary!!
