The third season is over, and a very dissapointing one it was at that.
Started the campaign very horribly, as I was in the bottom 3 for most of the first 10 games of the year. Afterwards, took a three day break from the game, which to me was an eternity. Nothing was really going right, as my supposedly decent GK and my solid defender were having horrible years to start. I disciplined both of them repeatedly for having all those 5's, and luckily they improved. Being that this is my first FM game, it was nice to see that my GK eventually put me as one of his favored persons.
After the first ten games, I went on a run of 6 straight and eventually got out of relegation terratory, and started steadily climbing. Never made it past 5th place, however, and ended the year comfortably in 9th place. I thought I had superior personel, which is why I am so dissapointed with my team.
As my nationalty is American, was able to find an American who became my goalscorer, and my leading hitman last year did horribly, to say the least, with an average just a shade under 7 for the entire year. Board is getting restless and so am I, as if I don't get promoted next year, I really am probably going to be sacked.
I'm going backwards, but hopefully, I have a good feeling for how my team will perform next year.
