Rep Power: 0 | Pan, do u really think this is workable?
Started the game with all leagues loaded. I started as an unemployed manager and decided not to apply for jobs. Thought I would wait months, but 2 days into the game this club offered me a job. Perhaps I got half nationality as a Hong Konger. As I have set my reputation to be lowest possible I think they are truly desperate and I took the job.
Club name, as suggested in the title, is Workable FC, a newly-promoted club in the Hong Kong First Division. What's more, it is formed in 2007 and therefore no club records or rivalries. Tipped straight down.

Rep Power: 0 | 2007/2008 - Workable - HK First Division
Long term expectation: survive in the First Division
Board expectation: fight bravely against relegation
Transfer budget: 10k
Wage budget: 1.3k / week
Balance at start of season: 180k
Media prediction: 10th (bottom)
Players in: 6 permanent (6k) + 7 loans
Players out: 10 (37k) - I somehow asked a Chinese non-league team to buy my Chinese midfielder who signed the club before I joined for 35k
The squad was very imbalance - a few good foreigners and crap locals. Managed to loan some Chinese players recommend by the scouts. Started off with an impressing win against fellow new-promoter, and winning four times in a row in November we are sitting at the 2nd position. However, since December my players struggle to perform, and by late March we found ourselves on the 8th - where 9th and 10th go down. Managed to get a point with the 9th team, and with the help of the big guns thrashing the neighbours, we are lucky to avoid relegation by 1 point. During this 5-month period our record was 1W 4D 12L including Cups. I had a match that got both my DCs off in the same minute, and another one where I used up all 3 substitution slots in the first 30 minutes as 4 players are injured. What a season.
Also the chairman signed a deal with Korean League team Pohang without letting me know. I got 15k p.a. but no one wants to move south for a loan deal.
Final position: 8th (6W 2D 10L GD21 GA 27 20Pts)
Top scorer: Pacy Loanee with 9 goals
Fans player of the season: young HK international right winger
League Cup (like MLS-style): 3rd in Group stage; unable to go further
Senior Shield: Quarter Final
FA Cup: First Round
Average attendance: 988
Highlight of the season: managed to earn money
Lowpoint of the season: our reserve picked up more points than us in the reserve league! 2008/2009 - Workable - HK First Division
Long term expectation - survive in the First Division
Board expectation: stay clear of relegation (My view: mid-table)
Transfer budget: 10k
Wage budget: 5.5k / week
Media prediction: 8th
Players in: 1 free + 7 loans
Players out: 6 free (Bosmaned a midfield uncle whose stat drops like rollercoaster - directly send him back to Brazil home)
Kept most of my first teamers from outside attractions, and loaned the same Chinese winger and pacy striker. Pohang didn't send any Koreans. Two teams were promoted and they have no real players. One of them remained unchanged when season started, so I decided to punish them by 5-0. Loads of big wins against those teams to boost our confidence, and we were 2nd mid-season. However, the big guns were still difficult to deal with, thus finishing at 4th.
Those two stupid teams, of course, relegated. They won each other once only. Nice.
Final position: 4th (11W 3D 4L GD37 GA18 36Pts)
Top scorer: Pacy Loanee again, with 17 goals and 12 assists. He won the 2nd place of HK Footballer of Year too
Fans player of the season: young HK right winger who grabbed best Young Footballer of Year
League Cup: 3rd in Group Stage
Senior Shield: Quarter Final
FA Cup: Semi Final (losing a 120th minute goal to Dongguan; my leftback near committed suicide)
Average attendance: 932
Highlight of the season: My 1-star-rated HK int'l being a fans' favourite and played out of expectation
Lowpoint of the season: nearly get the club's first trophy 2009/2010 - Workable - HK First Division
Long term expectation - survive in the First Division
Board expectation: respectable position (My view: mid-table)
Transfer budget: 0
Wage budget: 8.4k / week
Media prediction: 8th
Players in: 3 in (21k) + 2 loans extension
Players out: 4 out - sold 2 deadwood strikers for 48k!
My players getting more and more enquires, and this annoys me as I have to answer the clubs. Finalise the move of loanee winger, and my fans love him. Lost the first match to last year's champion on my birthday. But then we scored 12 in the next three games and we are well ahead in the league. No mid-season slumps and we won the league the very first time in the club's history (3 years now)! CHAMPIONS!
Pohang didn't send any Koreans. I cancelled the link as I have no interest in that 15k p.a. I got more from my attendance in cup finals.
Cup-wise I did exceptionally good as well - reached finals of all three of them. Results below
Final position: 1st (13W 1D 4L GD49 GA13 40Pts)
Top scorer: Pacy Loanee again, with 32 (!) goals (15 of them in league) and 10 assists.
Fans player of the season:
League Cup: WINNER! Hard-fought penalty win against Dongguan
Senior Shield: runner-up! Hard-fought penalty loss against South China
FA Cup: runner-up! 1-2 against Happy Valley
Average attendance: 1013
Balance at end of season: 371k (+10k)
Highlight of the season: League!!
Lowpoint of the season: unable to finish a quadruple
