First, I am enjoying the game, so understand this is meant as constructive criticism.
I think many have pointed out that it seems like every player who ever entered your bootroom, even loan players who played one match, will trigger the 'old player returns to former home' press event, and this will happen again and again, even years later.
BUT, apparently this is limited to league players?
I am in the home leg of the Champions Cup Quarter Final against AC Milan and Gerald Falkenmayer (a regen), a world class forward who I sold to Milan for 50M Euros after he won English Footballer of the Year and Supporters Player of the Year, doesn't provoke a peep out of the press. This is the first time he's been back since I sold him 4 years ago, and since then he's won two World Player of the Year awards. But apparently there's no story there because the press hasn't mentioned it at all..
Haha yeah it annoys the hell out of me...especially (as you have said) when it happens for insignificant transfers, and doesn't come up for huge transfers. Nothing more annoying than having the same message about Evra, for example, every time i play Tottenham (at least twice a season) for years after the transfer. Sometimes i can't even remember the player because they barely made it into the reserves and yet, in a league cup 8 years into the future I'm expected to be all excited about seeing him again like some long lost boyfriend. Once is (more than) enough i say
I still get it every time i'm up against Wigan, 10 years after they stole one of my youngsters when I was in the Conference! Cardiff too, since I loaned one of their youngsters for a season eons ago, now he's mid 30s and backup i get it every time...
i sold sissoko to newcastle. very next game we played newcastle and nothing was mentioned.
luckily the following season we played newcastle again and i told the press i hated sissoko and if i thought he was any good i wouldn't have sold him.
he scored against me and we lost 1-0.
