Okay, so the amount of days needed in order to gain a Spanish citizenship seem to be 730.

However, Marvin Angulo (Costa Rican) is currently at Zaragoza, and I noticed that for him the required amount is absurd 3650 days - 10 years!! Here's a screenshot:

How come it is so? It's madness, he'll never get an EU passport, and thanks to the *** British work permit system, I (Nottingham Forest) won't be able to sign him as he simply won't get a god damn work permit.

The spanish citizenship thing is very complicated iirc. Have a quick read on wiki or something, it ranges from 2-10 years depending on the circumstances i think

2 years if you're from a spanish speaking south american country or something (Agentina and Mexico spring to mind)

All the countries in south and Central America speaks spanish as their first language except of Brazil. Costa Rica is spanish speaking country.

Could any explain how this work? Thought the 2 years stay was enough to gain spanish citizenship.

Link to Spanish citizenship laws. More than a bit suprised that Brazilians take 2 years under the latin America rule Costa Ricans don't.

According to the link I've posted Costa Rica is part of Latin America. An that article explain why Brazil is part of the Latino Gang
