how are people overlooking the shots/goals ratio problem?
i have a bit of time on my hands and i really want to get going on a new game. the recent football and transfer hype has wet my appetite for a long career managing a blue square south team but....
i feel so de-motivated by the shots/goals ratio problem that i just can't stand to see a long career blighted by ridiculous match facts, supergoalkeepers and good strikers missing so many chances.
what i want to know is how are people reacting to the goals/ratio problem?
are you waiting for another patch?
playing fm without being bothered by it?
playing but finding it less enjoyable?
cheers

if you're playing with the 8.0.1 patch the shots/goals ratio is out of control with far too many shots per goal. there are many threads about it with complaints. Check your match facts if you are using the 8.0.1

sammypruposa - did you watch the Real Madrid v Zaragoza match this evening, by any chance?
For those who didn't, Zaragoza had over 18 shots (could well have been more) with 10 of them on target that I saw, and scored 0 goals.
So whilst works continues on the match engine for the patch that will be released alongside a data update at some point in March, "a goals/shots ratio problem" as you describe it does happen in real life.

I don't need to.
It's not happening in my game.
I know loads of other people are encountering it but it's just not happening in my game at the moment. I think there are reasons for this, (defensive tactic and overall poor standard of my team that I am not dominating the opposition and thus creating LOADS of chances. The chances that I am creating though are seemingly of a better quality and I'm just not seeing what everyone else is seeing).
This forum gets better. I shouldn't be surprised that someone in here thinks he knows more about what is happening in my game than I do. The cheek of it.

actually i did watch that game, it was pretty good and milito missed a shocking one on one, but every game i've had in a longish career with southend seems to yield at least 20 shots for at least one of the two teams involved,
and miles in one of my earlier threads paulc logged on and conceeded that there is a problem, so there is defintely a bug i'm afraid miles,
thanks for the response

oh and miles, i know you get high attacking games irl, i remember chelsea having 30/something shots against tel aviv in the uefa a few years back and guess what......we lost.
i have noticed how the amount of shots has gone up since the patch and even more so after a sustained and long career with southend,
i do visit the forums and have read that people are experiencing similar problems,
i don't think it is a coincidence, especially as paul c admitted it.
please don't persuade me otherwise
