Has anyone had this problem where just there home stadium is working during matches but when you play away its the normal green background?

I was messing about with default file in fm2007 but that was because my background went to a black screen instead of a green one, but I am sure its not that? Can anyone help as I know very little about computers and dont want to mess about with all the FM files.

nope, i've got nearly 600 stadium backgrounds in the game...and having just completed a full season with Derby, every away game had the correct stadium pic.

I must also recommend the following website...where with a little patience you can come accross some real good pics - as in sizes 2000x1600 etc, which are bloomin' good quality...

type in the name of a club or stadium or 'stadion' or 'stadia' or 'stade' and there's loads of euro stadiums to be found....and loads of Scottish ones too -

Does not make any sense to me why home is working but not awaay? I am willing to pay someone £30 (plus travel expenses) to come round my house and sort this out! I live in Islington(North London) and if someone honestly knows what they are doing and is interested then im really seerious! I have searched all the forums and done everything, I dont understand some of the instructions people have left as know nothing about pc's.

the folder I created I placed into the skins folder itself.

sports interactive/football manager 2007/data/skins/flexion

creating a backgrounds folder in there.

then the pics

then the config file..which starts like this.......

where the first number in my example is the picture number...so this could be 'Old Poofford' or 'Anyfield' etc......but the second number is the stadium ID....which you need to get from the Fm06 editor as the new editor is pants.

then in the game preferences ensure you've unticked 'skin cache' and tick the 'reload skin on confirm'....then it should re-load Flexion and because the background folder is in their it should work.

it does for me and I'm now daily adding 5-10 new stadium pics....not that my Derby team are ever going to play some obscure Russian team.....unless I can get them into the Into-Toto thingy.

Is this how to get stadium backrounds to work? Or just get more to work if you have them working already? As I havnt got a clue what you have just said? I dont understand all that you posted before.

I have the same problem.
The backgrounds were working all the time, and have suddenly stopped working in games, however they work on the squad screens.

I have tried everything and i cand get them to work again.

Beefster - Do you have the default background still? or do you have a black screen where you donjt have a background picture?

Anyone know how I can replace the background picture of Southend's Roots Hall stadium (from TRFC's download) with a better one that I have found on flickr.com? I only want to replace the one photo.

give your image the name southend2.jpg and save it to the background folder. It should say that a file with that name already exists. So you need to click on replace and that is it.
