New Graphic mode...This has to be done..!!!

This is a new idea to make... a gameplay even more realistic than it allready is...

KITS

every team would have only one picture in database/graphics/pictures....and so on.

PLAYERS

every player would have only his picture...head and neck... no dres etc.

WHAT WOULD WE GAIN ?

A new gameplay experience and more realistic...

isn't one of the main things that make you happy when you have a difficult
negotations for player and when you reach an agreement, that you actually see
player (rio ferdinand)(gago) in you team's (atletico madrid ) shirt....

Are you saying for example...

Arsenal buy Rooney and then you can see rooney in a Arsenal shirt ?

If so then its a good idea but ceating the idea would probably not be able to be done on this game...

yes that's what am saying...download this 3 pictures and youll see what i mean...

no ... but on next game 2008 could be done...and there is such a little to do to make a game a lot more playable and enjoyable...

I don't think you've thought this through at all. Such a system would be ridiculously labour intensive.

As it is now player pictures are a simple case of cropping an image to the right size. With this you would need to get images from exactly the same angle for every player in the game, manually remove their current shirt in a graphics program, make sure faces are in the right position etc.

Or would it be that every footballer would get their photo taken specially without a shirt? No chance of that.

Even then superimposed shirts etc would never look any good - lighting differences, slight deviations in angle that can't be avoided etc. Plus it would be a graphic shirt on a photo face.

Essentially "there is such a little to do to make a game a lot more playable and enjoyable" is back to front for me. It would take so much to get something that adds very little.

players...that make pictures are using mostly adobe photoshop...in program it's so easy to make face without kit...so, i dont see any problem...

it would be picture picture and not picture graphics....

it would add a lot...

That's my point - each player photo would need to be individually cropped by hand. Yes it's easy to do but I reckon to do a good job of cutting a face out away from a kit takes maybe 5 minutes if you're a dab hand probably longer. That would take months to do every liscenced player. Months and hundreds of man hours from specialist computer artists. Never going to happen.

Pictures would need to be at the right angle/lighting conditions so stock photos wouldn't be useable. SI can't afford to get every licsenced player in the game to come down and get their photo taken.

You say it would be a photo of the shirt too rather than a graphic - those would need to be taken all at the same time too then, same angle, same lighting etc. Meaning SI would have to aquire every liscenced shirt (as it is now they find it hard enough to find good pictures of kits to make their graphics from).

I think you underestimate the sheer scale of doing this. It wouldn't add enough or look good enough (it would ALWAYS look fake) to make it worthwhile. SI aren't going to program it in as a feature because they'll never use it themselves.
