Could you please tell me, When I'm looking at a player and I'm looking to see how good he is do I go by Current Ability or the rating on the bottom right

cant really think off top of my head and after a long day what bit u mean, but if hes a player your wanting to play now id say current ability.

hmmm.. Funny how differently people play the game, not a criticism just an observation. things i look for when buying a player are:-

>Stats corresponding to what position they play e.g, defenders need to have good tackling pref 16 and above for prem.
>Avrg rating of season so far above 7.20 im happy with.

Cant say ive noticed the bottom right one to often, but id say current ability, think this is a rating out of 200, so that example is ok if say your are a championship side i would guess.

The positional rating is really a figure calculated by the neccessary attributes required for the position, much like the CA so either would do.

CA - determines current stats. CA range is 1-255 (on editor can only reach 200). A player's CA will change over time due to training & age but will never be higher then his PA. If a player has a CA of 200 his stats should average ~15. Ca is reflected by stats & should point how good a player is - but not for a specific role.

PA - This is the highest a player CA can get - but does not meen a player will reach a CA equal to his PA. - This is how good a player's stats can get overall - not for a specific role

Position - this states how well a player is used to play in a position (1-20). a player may learn new position depending on training & his Versatility.

Best rating & best potential rating - this is a "Scale" that takes into consideration a player's positional ability & stats that are importent for this position (heading/tackling for Defenders ect.). This is possibly your best bet for a specific number that represents how good a player is - I however like to observe a player's mental stats to see that he will not be looking to leave the club or have a low consistency ect.

I'm currently in the national conference and I seem to be at a point when all my players are around 90-100 Current ability, So I downloaded it to see if I could get a player or two with a little more CA as I seem to be finishing in the same place for the last 4 years.
