I have tried to re-train many players on FM '07 into different possitions but i have failed everytime, please could somebody help me out and tell me how to re-train players into different possitions properly please.
i tried this with alan smith in my first season as man u, we all know fergie tried him as a midfileder but i thought id give it a go too. i set up my own training schedule for him where he would be trained as a DMC and although it still only said striker under his name at the top all his other stas went sky high like 20's for tackling and passing, so good was he that he became my best midfielder, although i was dissappointed that it never chnaged under his name i would still say that it worked well.
yes i would also like to know how to.(crouch in net lol) is there any training schedules that people have made because i used to play cm07 and there were loads of people that made tactics where you win every game6-0 etc. and i am yet to see anyone who has done that and there was also super gaffney training which this person made and he did it for every position and that was how everyone got there players stats up(im not sure if you can change positions on that though) to be honest i think cm07 is easier to use than fm07 but fm07 has about 51 leagues and cm has about 20(maybe less?) and also you can arrange tournaments. get affiliates etc. so does anyone have any good tactics or training schedules?please?
i belive the whole thing is flawed, with players not properly changing positions, if players couldnt change, then ashley cole would still be a striker and henry a winger!
the thing is: the older the player, the less likely he will learn. the less versatile he is, the less likely he will learn.
a player will have to play the position several times as well in order to improve on it. simply training will most likely not do. best is to do this in a bunch of preseason friendlies or put them in a reserve game that you are in control of. that way no harm done and he will learn.
I have never had a problem teaching a younger player (u23) a position in 2-3 months the most

I am going to try this but does it actually say on the player profile their new possition?
