tbf all the stuff is already figured out and well explained on this forum
and well, everyone knows that if you buy the best players you still need tactics to win in game and irl

fm 06 had its flaws as does fm2007. really, how can you guys consider going back to "06 or even reminisce about it? was that working on the easy mode you all want so much? nope.
i recall that the gurus and stalwarts of this forum were all stumped at the beginning, and after each patch, if only for a day. it was just that on fm2006, once a solid tactic (and i mean TACTIC not formation) was made, it could be used forever and you would get results by virtue of just pushing "play".
this doesnt happen in fm2007. but the tactic making process is similar (and well documented  )
maybe someone should make a data update for fm2006 to keep yall happy.
if fm2008 is even "harder" what will you do then? |

The game has become impossible. Its just not fun anymore, its annoying. SI need to go back to the drawing board and re-think the strategy.
| tbh, I think you just need to go and find another game.

I agree, this is where the game can be made "easier", or at least more accessable, and still keep the hardcore on board.
All the Ass. Man. has to do is help in the same way people on this forum do. At the base level, point out who or what lost you the last game.
Assistant Manager Report
Liverpool 4-2 Wigan Athletic
We played well today, but our pass completion could have been better.
Wigan scored from a poor clearance from Jamie Carragher, and he was lucky not to give away a second goal.
Wigan scored from a deep cross which should have been closed down
Our possession percentage was good and we got a good number of shots on target
| i like this idea but fear it would become increasingly and annoyingly repetitive. i have found this with the assistants scout reports on the next opposition that they become very repetitive and often unaccurate.

It's true though.
Why do people seem to think that SI owes them a game that is easy? There's plenty of people that want a game that is challenging, and can't be undone by 'super' tactics.
It's clear that the people at SI are football lovers, and want a game that is as realistic as possible, with all the nuances, and intricacies that make the game so interesting, and offer lastability.
If people want an easy, pickupandplay type game, then it's becoming very apparent that Football Manager is no longer the game for them. It's time to move on, adapt to the changes, or quit moaning.

mate...anything with limited database (limitid set of random comments in the dbase) will eventually become boring and reptitive. Its the same with media comments and all.

Possibly the way forward is to carry on making games as they are (I personally prefer the depth of the new games), but also make a more arcade style version, like is already done on the PSP, for people who prefer CM 01/02 style gaming. The problem with that is resources though, SI are not a massive company with unlimited money and staff. We are very lucky that we get patches (2 or 3 every game) and updates considering the size of SI.

Just cannot undrstand why it is so hard to make good AI......in some cases I believe that Pro Evolution made it well.
I believe SI should improve it much.
Agree with Dane......definetly!!!!
