I felt I had to do something dramatic, since I felt the regular tactic discussions was somewhat "locked" in views" here.

So I thought of a TOTALLY opposite approach to the tactic & game;

I started to experiment with these 3 "basic" tactic settings:


The Schizo: Left side TOTALLY differents the right side in Mentality; For example I play my Left side with mentality 20 and Right side with Mentality 1, or opposite.


The Psyzho: I play my defenders & GK with Mentality 1, rest has Mentality 20.


The Insane: Here I start with Mentality 20 on my GK & DC's, then slowly drops it down the further I come upfield, ending up with Mentality 1 on my Attackers.


I have just won the Conference South & Trophy Final with Fisher, first season! I won 3-2 over Northwich after extra time. I had 50% Possession 6 shots on goal against their 4 shots... The tactical approach I used was "The Insane"...

The league season ended up like this:

Pld 42 Won 39 Drn 3 For 104 Ag 30 G.D. +74 Pts 120(!)


I will follow up with Screenshots and a tactic download as soon as I learn how to do it. But I can tell you now I use a Flat 442 with short arrows on Wingers.

Slowly drop down? So on a flat 4-4-2 you'd go 20-10-1?

Or 20 for the defense line, 15 for the defensive MC, 10 for the creative MC, 5 for the wingers, 1 for the strikers?

I'm intrigued enough to say that I will test if you manage to upload the tactics.

I'm currently in charge of Newtown in the Welsh league and struggling to stay in the division, so I have nothing to lose!

I will consider an upload for my Tactic. But so far I am more into the theory behind my fantastic results. I wonder why I get these results, and I wonder if this can work over time.

My tactic(s) will probably not be "finished" until I have won the Premier League


I will test out a "Chaos" tactic, based upon the simple way of confusing the AI; I will spread the mentality all over the field, having a player either being Attack minded OR in Defence mode. I will set the GK on Mentality 11, all the rest settings the same. Will still Tweak of course.

Now its time to prepare for the Conference National season.
