I'm playing with Barca and am currently in late November of my third season. I noticed that one of my DCs and Messi are jaded. I thought this was a bit strange since I rotate my squad pretty regularly, each player plays 5-6 games in a row and then rests. My training is not excesively physically either. The rest of my squad is doing just fine.
Now when I look at the profiles of the jaded players I notice an option to send them on holiday is available. Should I go ahead and use it? I do have players to cover for them if they're gone temporarily. Or should I put them on an easy training schedule, or maybe not train them at all for a couple weeks?
My second question is about the offseason. Usually this starts right after the last match of the season (late May). Usually for me June is when players should going on holidays and such. Now I'm wondering, should I set all my players to not train for like 5 weeks as soon as the season is over or should I leave them in their respective schedules?
I've noticed that in FM2007 there's no option to stop training for a certain amount of time and that players apparently go on holidays automatically. Well here's the problem I've observed. It is pretty rare that any of mine go on holidays. In the last 2.5 seasons I've seen only 2 or 3 players do it, the rest seem to stay, probably because they have international fixtures. So if they have those, when do they have time to rest. Is this something that I need to take care off somehow, like maybe set them all to a schedule that has now training involved at all?
Thanks for your replies guys. I actually ended up just giving them rest instead of training. I rested both for 10 days and also didn't play them in any matches. It seems to have worked.
