my names sam, i have tried making a tactic before but it never worked out, i have made two tactics, basically the same but one is defensive and the other is attacking.
the formation is 4-4-2 diamond. attacking i have small farrows on wingers, defending i have plain 4-4-2 diamond.
all games i played were FRIENDLY's, i hope that doesnt put u off as i think i am on to a winner, but hey! thats my view.
so far i have played 4 teams; arsenal, club brugge, newcastle u18's, and chelsea.
all 4 games were from the 21-7-09 to 28-7-09, 4 games in 8 days. i am going to play a hard team (preferably man utd on 1-8-09)
my results are:
arsenal 1-1 i had the better first half went in 1 up, gave away a penalty DREW 1-1.
club brugge, won 2-0 dominated, the screenshot will prove this so don't need to go into much depth.
newcastle u18's 10-0 did well understandably last time i played them i won 7-1 i think.
chelsea won 3-1 countered them really well but i was attacking and they played a 40 yard pass which i conceded from.
i must stress this, all teams played strong sides! if you are not sure whether i am telling the truth i will try and get a screenshot, actually i will get the chelsea stats so you can see the team they played (dont like getting pictures, takes too long!)
for the chelsea and arsenal games i used defensive tactic and for club brugge and u18's game i went attacking.
the reason i am going to play man utd is that owen got injured v arsenal, and i did have two fast strikers upfront, for the next 3 games i used mido, who is a target man which i made hold up the ball, so i shall now play man utd and report back in a second.
right i have uploaded my tactics to fmdownloads.net, not sure how to send the link though! because im now a member it might be a different link for non members!
right from the website there are 2 folders fm2007 and fm2006, ignore them, go down until you see

&

TheZogsaGeordie Defensive
there we go! if anybody could test it would be great i'm going to test it with newcastle for the rest of the season.

Homemade Tactic, Beat Chelsea 3-1 and Man Utd 2-1 Post #3
sorry didn't see you had commented before i added that last bit.
i am not saying this is the greatest tactic, far from it i have made a tactic and tested it against 2 weak sides and against 3 strong sides, the goal i conceded against arsenal was a penalty, the goal i conceded against chelsea was because i was over attacking(even though i was playing defensive) and the goal against man utd my dm lost the ball on the edge of my box giuseppe rossi gave the ball to wayne rooney who scored from 20 yards.
most of my goals when i played the big 3 were counter attacks (as i went defensive)
MAN UTD
my first goal against man utd was because owen closed down a defender on the half way line and gave it to martins(19/20 pace and acceleration) and he did the rest.
second goal was a free kick from gareth bale.
CHELSEA
dos santos won the ball on the half way line (chelsea at that point had about 7 men between the ball and their goal so it wasnt a counter attack but mido only had 1 defender infront of him) he gave the ball to mido, mido ran down the right wing, crossed the ball to the front post where dos santos scored from 7 yards.
second goal, free kick 40 yards from chelsea goal, played the ball to steven taylor on the left who gave it to damien duff who drilled a cross across goal which was unfortunately put into his own net by riise.(he lost the ball for the first goal lol)
third goal, goal kick played long to mido, who flicks it to walcott(very pacey if you didnt already know) who had loads of space on the right, he ran down the wing and shot from a narrow angle which deflected off of ashley cole.
i'm only going to do the arsenal goal now not going to both with the other two matches.
ARSENAL
the only goal i scored, walcott closed down adu just inside my half with owen, martins and the 2 arsenal centre halfs he then gave it to mido who was through on goal, and from 18 yards, with the 'keeper coming out, he chipped him.
hope this gives you a good enough view into how i score and win/draw games.
does anybody think that i only got these results because they are friendly games?
i have also realised how important my closing down is(everyone max except from gk and cb

Homemade Tactic, Beat Chelsea 3-1 and Man Utd 2-1 Post #4
just beat red star 4-0 in qualifiers of champions league, when i play my first 5 games of premiership i will write about them and how i done and scored, red star didnt have a shot on target i 2 of my goals came from constant closing down. one was tapped in from a good cross and the other smashed across goal from a narrow angle

west ham 1-1 home: free kick crossed to mido, heads it to owen, owen gets tackled, dos santos taps it in 1-0 from 6 yards.
from a corner lugano shoots, jourdren saves, anelka slots it in from 8 yards.
should be interesting derby play 3-5-2 hard to break down noramlly.
derby 1-1 home: lucas plays a 20 yard ball to mido who nods it down to n'zogbia who is through on goal, slots it in 1-0. they scored a penalty and my player didnt get carded so i think its debatable.
west brom 3-0 away: west brom goal kick my centre half heads it out to n'zogbia, who threads mido through, mido scores a 1 on 1. went defensive about 2 minutes before the second goal.
second goal, taylor 30 yards out, crosses to walcott, who controls it and then slots it past the keeper, 2-0.
like the second goal taylor is now further out, about 45 yards, long ball to owen, on edge of the area, who scored.
havent got time for more then 2 games so i'm going to write about the udinese and man utd games i have:
udinese 2-1: free kick from half way line, to the left, crossed in scored by owen.
throw in by udinese cross to back post, player unmarked scores from 10 yards, soft goal to concede, felt aggreieved.
n'zogbia intercepts the ball on the half way line, and plays a ball over the top to owen, who dribbles for a bit and then slots the ball past the keeper from close range, this was in the 93rd minute, really pleased with my counter attack, i am going out now i might write about the next prem game, man utd.

Homemade Tactic, Beat Chelsea 3-1 and Man Utd 2-1 Post #6
See..my point is, that what you are trying to do here is commendable. But all you are talking about in this thread is how you managed to beat teams. I think you need to go a bit more in depth with your tactics and tell people why you think so. And point out possible weaknesses if any.
And once you have a very good framework, which has been proved with results, people will flock to your thread...ypu won't have to advertise anymore. For exaample, FuSS's thread.
But anyways, Isince I guess I can only suggest an approach to you. Following it or not, is your own choice. What still irks me is the fact that you validate your thread by saying that you managed to beat these teams. I mean I finished 2nd with Sheff Utd in the first season, beating most of the big teams at times. Does not mean that is the standing point for my tactic!
Hope this makes sense/
