short and slow v direct and fast
this game is about countering the opposition.
everyone knows that when u defend u go direct and fast and when u attack u go short and slow.
if the oppostion(a stronger team) goes short and slow, then u should go direct and fast.
this would "counter them" or would it? wouldn't u be playing into their hands? what should we do? we cant go short and slow when defending because the counter attack won't work
so what to do?

be proactive and play to your own team's strengths. beaing reactive to the ai's ploys are really negative tactics, and you should be confident in your own team's preferred style of play.

also if you have the right players you could go short and Fast (just like Arsenal & Mau Utd).
If your players have the ability to play this way it stops the AI using hard tackling and closing down.

I tend to go short and fast as my midfield has very good passing skills and it does the trick against most teams.

Just out of curiosity, those of you that use the fast type of system, when you play short passing with it, do you play narrow as well? And if you use a long passing game with a quick tempo do you use more width?

See this is what I dont understand with a lot of tactics.
How can you play a short game, but wide? Do they not contradict one another, and do your players not lose a lot of possession?
What are your usual passing completion and your possession stats?

Have you won much playing this way? Who with and what?
Do you have individual instructions, or is everyone on the same?

all the players are on team mentality
all players are on team creative freedon apart from gk dr dl dc dc which are on 1
passing - all players on team apart from dr dl 1st notch of direct and dc dc on 20 long
closing down - all players on team apart from sc sc both on 1
