I wanted to start a topic about training techniques.
I always play as Aston Villa and have recently started a new game using the Christmas Tree formation, which is Attacking at a high Tempo with two quick wingers. Have done well in Pre Season so far and am now looking to develop my own training plans.
I usually split the plans up into Defenders/Midfielders/Strikers although having read many posts have started thinking this is not the way to go and maybe starting giving either individual schedules or narrow it down by position.
I'd be interested to hear what other successes and or failures people have had with their own techniques.
Since FM 05, I think, I have always tried to design my own schedules based on the following positions:
Outfield pre-season
Keepers pre-season
These are strength and aerobic based and I do these for the first 3 weeks after coming back to training at intensity of high to get bthe base fitness levels up.
Thereafter I allocate the players as follows:
Keepers
FullBacks
Central Defenders
Defensive Midfileders
Wingers
Central Midfielders
Strikers.
I design the schedules with emphasis on the particular attributes that are important for that position and keep the intensity at one notch below high in the medium band. After half way through the season, I drop the intensity a couple of notches to medium to stop injuries.
If you have good facilities and more importantly good coaches, you can get good results this way. I also allocate the coaches manaually and try to get 9 separate coaches and allocate one to each of the 9 schedules.
