Not got my game yet but was wondering what your views are on the official release (not the demo). Does the game live upto expectations or are you let down by its showing. Also how is everyone getting on with their choosen teams.

Finished 3rd in the Prem.

Started with Swindon Town

In the top half with 2 wins, 1 Draw, 1 Loss.

Knocked out of the League cup by Birmingham 1-3.
Best win is beating Bristol City in the League cup R1 and Soton in a pre-season friendly despite them being a tier above us

I've got great away form but not so good at home, bit overloaded with centre mid's too.

Best signing so far: David Fernandez from Kilmarnock Reserves, brill AMC

Pretty indifferent start wins against Blackburn and Fulham and a draw at Pompey, shocking result away to everton tho lost 2-1 and everton were down to 10 men :s

Hammered Salzberg 7-2 in the champions league qualifiers tho.

Oh no not Eduardo from Arsenal, this Eduardo is from Gremio, he's only 18/19 and he looks promising. I got him for £1.8M. He can play DL DC, WBL, DMC, ML, MC, AML and AMC. :thup:

Eddie Johnson is good, I haven't had him on FM07 though so I can't tell.

Gourcuff I got on loan, but I'm trying to sign him because he's awesome (he's valued at around £9M at the moment). Diego Souza I got for £3.1M but he doesn't come to my team until 1.1.2009

Duff sold for £2.5M. Krul sold for £1.1M. Smith sold for £7M :thup:

How do you rate Denilson? I want to sign him for Newcastle

Denilson is very good the only problem is fabregas. silva and diaby are better than him so he hasnt played a great deal, but when he does play he plays well.


The coach report on him says he has the potential to be as good as fabregas and be a leading star, and real madrid want him....

Smith is actually a good player on FM08 in my opinion, I played him in MC for half a season when I first started, and he improved, and his value went up. But Smith's 'Aggression' is 20, and ALWAYS got a yellow card in every match, and a few reds. Then I got van der Vaart so I flogged Smith.

I think I had problems getting Eduardo, I think the deal fell through because a WP was turnend down but I made an offer again and this time it was accepted (after appeal). I wasn't going to let this badlad slip through my figners! :thup:
