Default Cardiff City Thread

I appolagise if an official Cardiff thread has already been opened, if thats the case then by all means close this thread, i just could not seem to find it.

Cardiff City Association Football Club (Welsh: Clwb Pêl-droed Dinas Caerdydd) are a football team based in Cardiff, and are one of the three Welsh clubs competing in the Football League, currently playing in the Football League Championship. They play their home games at Ninian Park and are accredited with having some of the loudest and most fanatical set of supporters in British football.

Cardiff City were founded in 1899 and are the only non-English side to have won any of the three major English competitions. They won the FA Cup in 1927, during a decade when they were one of the strongest sides in the English league. They have also been regular winners of the Welsh Cup, and as the winner of the Cup in 1966-67 gained entry to the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, reaching the semi-finals in 1967-68.[1]

Their history in recent years has been less successful but they have made some improvement in the last few seasons. In 1986, they were relegated to the Fourth Division, and over the next 14 years slipped into the league's basement division three times. In 1996 they were the league's third lowest placed team. However; a Football League Second Division playoff triumph in 2003 lifted them into the Football League First Division; and they are now just one promotion away from reaching the Premiership, which would make them the first non-English team to do so.

Great game posts

If you have just had a sensational win or a great match write little match report on it as it shows more than a screenshot does.

Who should I sign posts

If you want help and advice on a new signing post as much information as possible – this should include at least your transfer budget remaining, wage budget remaining, bank balance, players already in said position, transfer targets and what type of player you want (e.g. a quick, strong striker that is under 24).

Help strengthening team posts

If you want help and advice regarding strengthening your team post your starting line up and formations, substitutes, your feelings on the team, positions you want strengthening, transfer budget, transfer targets and the type of players you want. If you include as much information as possible it is easier for us to help you.

Updates

If you are going to post updates, please keep it to three a season – end of pre-season, end of January transfer window and end of season. This will make the thread easier to use and less clogged up. Also if you try and only use screenshots in these updates otherwise the thread will be littered with screenshots. If you do want to talk about a signing either put it in one of the three updates.

These updates should be along the lines of:

Pre-season update (year)
Transfers In
Transfers Out
Formation
Squad
Expectations for the season
Pre-season odds
Remaining transfer budget
Remaining wage budget

January transfer window update (year)
Transfers In
Transfers Out
Squad
League table
Cup competitions
Revised expectations
Player and Manager Awards

End of season update
End of season league table
Cup competitions
Manger’s thoughts on the season
Transfer targets

With thanx to Wikipedia and firstly Dayle Wood

I have always played either Cardiff City or Hibernian, with the Bluebirds my favorite. I usually sign both Charles Andre Doudin and Scott Thompson (Celtic), they are both quality strikers. Also, buying Enyeama is a very good idea, he is one of the best keepers I've seen, and not that spendy. (Bear in mind I haven't played 08 yet...)

1 more day left to go boys (for us unfortunate ones who didn't get the game early) Gunna start off as the mighty bluebirds, Cardiff City, get them to the premiership and rule the world (:
