This is doing my nut in. I have had multiple bids accepted for Saivet, and he is eager to discuss terms with my Man U side, but no matter what iI offer him he accepts Bordeaux's offer of a new contract.
Has anybody else had this problem?
Many others have had the same problem. I havent as he always accepts my offer (I play as Arsenal). When he's on a youth contract at the start of the game, just offer him a role as "backup" and increase his salary a little from what he asks (I think its 250/week so just give him 350/week) and meet the rest of the conditions as well (appearance fee, yearly wage rise etc). He doesnt ask for much so you shouldnt really have a problem. He always agrees to sign for me. Even if he's signed a contract at Bordeaux, try the above and it might work.
What season are you in? I had the same problem in summer 2008. Then after the window shut in Sept 2008 i offered him again... and he agreed. So he joined me in Jan 2009. Just keep persisting with him.
What i did was sign him on my first day as manager. aproach to sign and choose pro contract not youth contract and he signed for me. easy never failed for me
