buying expired players for free just to try them out for a season LLM style?
Is buying the top striker in a league LLM style providing hes been scouted first?
And also how about watching players versus your team, I mean if you see a right winger do really well against your left wingback, is it llm style to put him on a shortlist and buy him or watch if he goes up for sale?
I probably wouldn't shortlist players who my team have played against, but the rest are fine.
The only reason I wouldn't do that is I would much rather let my scout work for his wage and a lot of the time I don't see players standing out head and shoulder above the rest during the match.
If you think it's realistic then I have no problem with that either.
Would a manager on a tight budget buy a big name, costing probably over the odds in wages just to have him for a season to see if he's any good?
Didn't Portsmouth and then West Ham do this when they bought the ex Millwall, Spurs, Man Ure front man who once played in the hole for England? They bought an expensive player to give them a season of success and then moved him on. I think it's a case of 1) whether you can actually afford him and 2) does he actually want to join you?

Ask yourself: "Is it realistic?" Now, I don't know about England, but there is no way no how to get a list of best goalscorers, players etc. of Slovenian 2nd or lower divisions. Therefore this type of data is not available to you. Personaly I don't do that, but it is up to you.

Do you watch whole 90 mins? If so, is 90 mins enough to rate a player? What if the player only played well against your team? Now, don't get me wrong, but you need to correct this a tad. Use your scouts to scout the desired player. If they agree with you, then you do with him whatever you want. If not, remove him from shortlist immediately.
