You're trying to say that it was deliberately introduced just to make you look stupid?

thanks for replies. To me I don't know whether its realistic or not, I mean I've thought about this do managers try out cheap wage expired contract players for a year, to see if they fill in a gap? I know of one case where Wrexham bought a bloke who has turned out to be a profilific goalscorer but I got a feeling his reputation must have already previously known to the Wrexham manager.
