Does the game engine let him win, lest it have its arms pulled off?

I've tried that...doesn't work. Also very expensive. Strangely calming though.

Okay - too late now, but if the chalenge is still open...

Buy an External Hard Drive Caddie, take out the PC HDD, put it in the caddy and then connect caddy (via USB) to latop and just play game straight off of it.

Incidentally, If you can find a big enough USB stick or SD Media card - you can play the game straight off of one via a card reader or the USB stick itself - Biggest save game i've got on PC is 261MB with Huge DB, so theoretically with smaller DB you could play easily on a 256MB card/stick for quite a long career and still save tactics and shortlists, plus I play with pictures and logo's switched on, though these may not be contained in the save game, but loaded form CD - Not sure about the speed though? The r/w speeds are quicker than on HDD, but the bus transfer speeds on HDD are quicker than off card through card reader and into USB port and to processor. I tell you all what, I'll try starting and running a save game on my 256 SD Media card with Large DB and all UK Leagues and let you all know what the performance is like - Now if only I could work out how to copy the darn CD!

I am pleased to say, that the save game runs fine off of my 256MB SD Media card via a USB2.0 card reader (a cheap one from Lidl) - So there you all go, the answer for making FM2005 portable - Keep it on portable media, install the game and the latest patches on all your available computers and then just take the CD and Media card to whichever PC you want to play on and play away.
Mind you, I don't want to know what happens if the save game becomes too large for the card!
