It is rare, but you can sign a player that is initially not interested in signing with your club. I had a scout recommend a player who said he wasn't interested, but I offered him a contract anyway, and he accepted. I offered a minor clause in the deal, but I'm not sure if the clause made the difference. He may have just decided to sign anyway, because he had been released on a free, and part of it may have been the lure of employment

But, not to be outdone, the very next player that was recommended and yet not interested in my club outright refused the same terms. So I'm sure this will still be a difficult task with only rare success.
