And to clarify my position Player serach as it stands should be changed to only include players that you have scouted to a certain level.

The players names being masked has gone a bit out of control in the thread!!

I dunno. It's probably not too hard to dig up the rosters for lower league teams in your country. So I'm not sure why name masking would be more realistic.

Of course, you wouldn't know how good they are. So I'm all for heavy attribute masking.

Attribute masking = good and sensible, Name masking = why, you don't have to scout a person to find out their name??

I'm with Churchy (hope you don't mind a newbie casually feigning familiarity ); a scout report "...recommends signing some guy who may play football as he would be a useful addition to the first team" would be really helpful
