You probably received a bye. A few teams do.

I did Drew Ipsiwch away in the second round.

I left Redbridge FC by the way, on october 13th Charlton Atlethic offered me the job as manager and I thought about it for a couple of minutes and decided to take it. Charlton is 20th in the Championship, so yes, I jumped 2 divisions, I'm sorry about that, but in my defence: Redbridge ground capacity is 2500 (148 seated) and there's no way the board would ever upgrade the stadium I guess since every penny that comes in immediatly goes into clearing the (small) debt. The only hope for money is in cupruns.

I managed Redbridge for 4 seasons and a little bit, 1555 days to be exact.
Played 202 games, won 85, drew 46 and lost 71. Scored 286 goals, conceded 252.
Number of leagues won: 2 (Conference South 2005/6 and Conference National 2007/8)
Highest transferfee paid: 300k
Highest transferfee received: 150k
Players bought: 30
Sold: 7
Awards: 2 (manager of the year in Conference 2007/8 and 1 manager of the month in Conference)

Redbridge FC current league position: 18th in League Two, 13 points out of 13 games.

Do you guys still want updates or do you guys want it closed?

Thanks guys

Short Charlton update:

20th in Championship on arrival, board wants midtable, supporters also. Started with a 4-1 loss against another team, then a 3th round League Cup match at home against Liverpool. Lost 0-1, who cares.
Next 6 leaguegames brought me 13 points and a 12th place.

Season 2008/9 finished.
Leeds and Fulham were the topteams in the Championship, Leeds finished 1st, Fulham 2nd, The gap was too nig to close for the other clubs.
Board expected a respectable position.
When I started at Charlton they were in 20th place, a good run saw Charlton finishing the season as 4th placed team.
The playoffs were not easy, Crystal Palace were taken after extra time (0-2, 4-0), the final against Burnley was a easy 3-0 victory. So on to the Premier League we go

Cups suck offcourse, League Cup 4th round exit against Liverpool, FA Cup 5th round exit to Newcastle.

Why is everyone so big on Dowie?

For the time period that Dowie was in charge, the media all go on about unmatched form. Newsflash: There's another manager from Norn Iron whose team got more points than Palace did over that same period. If the season had started the day Dowie took over, they'd still have finished second to Norwich.

But, we're a provincial team and therefore get no recognition
