I used to be an avid fan of cups, and the money they brought in, but yesterday I had a definate 'cups suck @ss' experience.
A fourth round FA cup match against a team 2 division lower, I announce pre-match that I'm confident we will win.
90 minutes later, I've lost 1-0, got 13 yellow and 2 red cards (they got 3 yellows), leading to 6 players on suspension in the next match against a fellow-relegation candidate (which we also lost of course) and I've lost 2 players on several weeks long injuries.

Temporary aggravation? Not even that much. It's nowt to do with the cup. You go spouting your mouth off, you come unstuck, regardless of the competition. :p
You can't be blaming the cups for your loose tongue.
I hope your undisciplined players were roundly chastised in the media following the match. Fining players is great fun My professionalism is about 4, though my media handling is about 20
Well, actually I was shouting at the referee most of the time, my players got cards for the same fouls that the opponent made.
At the end I saw myself along the sideline, pointing out players who weren't booked yet to the fourth official.
