Season 2007/2008

After restraining myself from spending (apart from centre half and a really **** right mid i though was a star 600k total since it was my cup money to spend) i trimmed the excess rubbish from reserves and had a decent start to league apart from an humping from Celtic.

I draw Scalke in Uefa Cup first round since i'm not seeded. Lose 2-1 in Home leg against a much better team. Draw away leg 0-0 in a game i should have won 16-1. :p

Season 2004/2005 Gainsborough Trinity

Before i start where is Gainsborough???

Everyone predicts a relegation battle from Conference north and after looking at the team, the £0 trasfer budget and being over wage bugdet i had to agree. Over season i sell 11 players for £23,000 and buy 13 for £1000. Selling of the highest paid and a cup run improved the wage budget and after cup exit i go on an amazing run to be in shout of automatic promotion with 4 games to go! :eek:

After Promotion to conference National and making 50k profit in the process i decide to have a bigger squad and be a little flexible with thw wage budget but soon find that nobody will sign for a team with no expactations (including myself). After much ripping out of hair i sign 6 players (3 starters an done my chairman quite rightly advised re-considering0 for £4,000 and sell 3 for £3,000 and bring in 3 impressive loan signings :eekbut nore Star Mid from last season

After 3 games ( W L D) i sell my 46 goal partnership for £160,000 to the dismay of the fans. I forget that both were purchased with 50% sell on clauses so :o i begin to worry.

12 games in and in the playoff zone and Bristol Rovers offer me a job. They are 24th in League 2 (allegedly promotion contenders) with money problems but interesting squad, a club reputation and what looks like a bye to next round of FA Cup (Team Bath) giving me 2 weeks to sort things out before league games. A very attractive offer i think

Interested to know what others would do since i've made my desision (for better or worse)
