Season 2004/2005

Everyone's expectations - title

Gretna start with a shocking defence even for this division but strong going forward.However really don't want to spend to much because that 10 mil needs to buy a new stadium eventually. Currently a 2200 capacity public toilet.

Transfers in - GK 22 from Rangers 12k
- D/DmR 23 from Rangers 55k
- DLC 25 from forfar 7k
- DC 25 from Motherwell 5 k
- AMC from Boston Utd 80k
And finally to satisfy chairman's craving for publicity a 5k FLC from inverness. My desire to store money destroyed by paying 7k per week :eek: for a right back. Sold 5 players for 17k.

I will not conform to the cups suck ass theory. I want to win them as they are the only way to make money. However my loss to kilmarnock made me spend nearly 600k on 6 new players during january including another 2 players on stupid money. Promoted by March.

Final thoughts - I can't beat Albion Rovers. :o Losing money everywere, Lost about 2.3 million over season with average crowds of 366. Top crowd receipt £10k. On the plus side top striker scores 34 goals, and young squad should easily step up another level. Need to stop with the spending money.
Don't remememer much about this far back but the next season was to be more memorable for my first old firm encounter

Expectations - title or sacked/resign

Board have upgraded to average facilities and i get my first crop of youngsters. Assman say they are promising, i say they are crap. Release 12 players and sell another 5 for 40k.

Transfer in - backup gk 7k from kilmarnock
- AMLC free from Rangers (sub)
- FC 30k Kilmarnock (starter)
- DMRC - 30k livingston (change formation for a guy this good) 4-1-3-2
- Loan a FLC from Rangers

Final standings - pl-36 W-30 D-5 L-1 F-92 A-14
Challenge cup - Winners 4-0 stranrear and 15 goals total with none conceded
League cup - 3rd round 1-3 lose to Celtic at Parkhead after taking lead.
Scottish cup - 4th round 0-1 lose to Kilmarnock

Gutted.. . Ishould have won the scottish cup with Rangers and Celtic going out in third round. Queen of the south beat Airdrie in final

Have to sell best defender in transfer window for 190K minimum release fee i never noticed. Despite this i go on losing money.
Average attendance 866. Top income - 14k

season 2006/2007

Expectations - Board want title and fans have no ambition. I demand title from over paid players. Board spend MY money on youth academy without my permission so i decide to spend spend spend on transfers.

Transfer in - FLC 17 (prospect) 60k loaned out
- DC 25 (short term till i find a star) 50k
- MR 17 free from Sochaux loaned out
- GK 16 18k (future number 1) from Ballinamllar UTD
- DRLC 17 14k (backup) from Excelsior) loaned out
- AMC/FC 17 free from PSV (prospect)
- MRLC 20 130K as a first substitute

my star scout finds a Columbian superkid 20(DMC)whom i offer 800k for expecting refusal of permit and offer. I get him. This guy is the best player in Scotland :cool:

After a first game 3-1 defeat to Queen of the South and two early cup exits i total change team around and finally start to score some goals. Squad is improved yet again in my only weak spot right wing with a AMR from rangers for 190k. Scottish cup is won with stunning 4-2 victories over both hearts and Aberdeen and finally overcoming my cup nemesises Kilmarnock with 120th minute winner

Looking back i now know that the prospects i brought in this season (none from academy) actually made it as pro's. 3 still at club in current season.

The money situation is awful (boards fault). Will run out of money very shortly unless i get a run in Europe or sell my stars. Board say stadium is being upgraded............. .................council say :eek:"nah" :thdn:. Average attendance 1976 with top gate income £16k. Tough season ahead selling my team i fear.
