Default Northern Ireland question

Hi my first post here on the LLM board.
Currently at Coleraine, jumped to them after starting at Kilkenny.
It's a decent league here but why can i only select 3 subs in northern Ireland?
Thanks in advance.

It's the Northern Irish League Rules.

Scotland, 7 named subs...England, 5 named subs...Northern Ireland, 3 subs, can all be used.

There's the sub keeper or not dilemma. Personally, I always resist unless its a crucial game.

To go slightly off topic . . .

IRL Coleraine are on the brink of closure due to unpaid taxes.

With their immintent demise and the recent closure of Omagh Town I heard a rumour that Northern Ireland won't be included in FM06 because nobody (least of all the Irish League bigwigs) knows who is going to be in what league this season.

I am currently QUB in Northern Ireland league 2. Pretty bad quality of football, but of course, the poor guys seem to be only paid $40 a week, so what should I expect? Had a goal scored by my keeper when the ball bounced over everyone's head and rolled into the goal. Haven't seen that since I played youth soccer! Seems to be a realistic place to start my LLM career, though, since it seems REALLY low.

One question, is the Northern Ireland premier league quality much better than the lower divisions?

Heath you should check out Emmenaar's thread.

The quality is a bit better but IMHO Portadown, Linfield and Glentoran should be much stronger and more dominant than they are.

Emmenaar's thread is where I got the idea to try QUB. Plus it is fun to say..."QUB! QUB!" Glad to hear the quality improves in the premier league, because it is pretty low quality here in Div 2! Funny though!
