I play with an unpatched FM05, and with my knowledge of players in the gam, e.g. attributes etc, i do not see the major problem with scouts.

They bring players to your attention and then we decide - ultimately it is our decision to purchase the players.

One problem i would say though, is that there are far too many players who are not even worth mentioning. Who are god damn awful. But still get onto the scout list, or are personally recommended.

I dont care about the 1 star rated turd who plays in [Country] with an average rating of -0.64.

Oh yea, and why, or why, or why o why o why does every player get shortlisted! (and its so much effort, a few too many clicks, to get the player off the list)

Actually, I find in terms of players found in llama land, the dodgy scout already at the club turns up the same standard of player as the superstar scout with high attributes who we pry applies for our scouts job on the rare occasion it is advertised.

I agree with that Adz, no matter the scouts stats they still find the same **** players.

The thing I find annoying is when you scout for youth in 03/04 and they go to some far flung country and start recommending signings from there when you can't afford the bus fare to the next suburb let alone an airfare half way around the world.

Well all we can do is hope that FM2006's scouting system is an improvent on whats gone before and that it works well in the llm situation.

btw does the so called scouting bug affect 03/04 as i'm stilling turning up heaps of players after 6 years, same scout, same team, (same division )
