as long as you play with the mentality of a reali life manager then you should be okay.
buy players which your scouts recommend, do not use player search.
dont do anything unrealistic.
your aim should be like any real manager, to achieve as much as you can with the team you manage. you can move teams if you like, you havnt failed as a LLM if you dont make every team you manage, successful.
look through updates of others, they arent always successful all the time, if not, at all.
I would normally say that as long as you play to LLM guidelines that's fine.
However, LLM isn't really applicable if you start halfway up the ladder. Darlington is still a far bigger side than a Conf. N side, no matter how the media see you.
As for objectives for making Darlington of note for LLaMas: that's simple. Get them relgated a couple of times. Then they'll be LLM-worthy
By no stretch of the imagination are Darlington LLM, btw.
If you'd really read and attempted to understand LLM guidelines you'd have seen that LLM, by definition, starts in the lowest available division in any given Nation.

C'mon guys according to your own rules, League 2 clubs are acceptable, even League 1 at a push.
Not when it's the biggest club in League Two, it's not. You have to start at the bottom (Conf N/S) and work up.
If you really are going to pick someone above that (and only then to get the feel of LLM), at least pick someone who is plagued with debt and has an appalling squad - at least then it's LLM principles, played in a higher league. A 25,000 stadium with a sugar daddy chairman is *not* LLM.
You have met the hard core zealots now and the perceived wisdom is that Darlington are not LLM as we understand it.
The important thing is to play with the LLaMa ethics and enjoy your own game, however informing us about your progress would probably bring a load of abuse.
Being of an independent mind I have occassionally started at 2nd Division clubs and had enjoyable careers, I just don't mention it on here.
One of my most enjoyable games was when I started with Berwick who were in the Scottish 2nd division. (Shock Horror)
