everyone's getting a bit upset - time for an update!
If you guys are so strict with your own playing, ie. not 'borrowing' tactics etc. then do you actually erase your own memory to ensure that you don't use the same tactics from game to game?????

Yes. I have a little switch on the back of my head. Similar to the one that you use to make Action Man move his eyes.

Hope you're not like Action Man in other places...otherwise you couldn't write your name in the snow. |

Rep Power: 0 | ***2010/11 MID-SEASON UPDATE***
My first season in League football got off to an excellent start, with the board expanding the stadium to 8800 but still no seats and new training facilities.
Unfortunately, the football side was not so good. I only managed 4 points in my first 11 games, but after that things began to improve, but I was still bottom of the League at Christmas, oh dear...
In the preseason I sold one of my best players to West Brom for £1,000,000 which I just couldn't reject. He was an 18 year old striker who looked really good.
The other main news is the suprising surge of excellent young players emerging from Scotland and Wales. My scout was finding 16/17 year olds better than the majority of my first team. In order to cash in on this opportunity I signed up two more scouts after placing an advert. Eventually I brought in about 9 players, which meant I could rid myself of some of the 'dead wood' in the squad.
I signed:
- A Welsh Goalkeeper 18y/o- Had experience with Cardiff and was now playing in the Welsh league. Cost £18K
- A English Centre-Back 18y/o- His attributes had a sort of lower quality Bobby Moore look to them in the way that he has high tackling and anticipation but no pace.
- A Welsh Centre-Back 16 y/o- Streight from Cardiff youth set up. Possibly the pick of the bunch. Only problem looks to be his aggression, as he has high strength and physical attributes as well as aggression...he could kill someone!
- A Scottish Central Midfielder 18y/o- He appears to be a complete midfield type player in the way he is extreemly fit and decent at most things. Amazing mental and physical, but will need technical work in training.
- A Welsh Centre Forward 17y/o- He has pace, positioning and finishing. My idea for this boy is to train him to go for headers and jumping etc as well, so he fits into all my tactics.
These are the outstanding players I signed but there are a few more. All of the 5 mentioned above are my outstanding players at the moment, because they all have the required attributes to become the captain in a few years, and all have experience in both higher leagues and as captains. So, they are possibly the youngest and most experienced players from being around bigger clubs set-ups. The Scot in midfield has even played Champions League in one game with Celtic.

Rep Power: 0 | ***END OF SEASON UPDATE 2010/2011***
When we were bottom of the League and 13 points behind anyone else I was thinking crisis. I made quite a bould move and began to play the young players as first team regulars by the end of Febuary. I spent January giving the players intense fitness training as we were going to have a tough season. Luckily for me results began to go our way from mid-January, and it was getting incredably tight in the group above us in the table.
The freshness of the youngsters showed through and with a bit of training they were ready to play 90 minutes in most games. At one point we were on a 7 game winning streak and we were closing the gap fast.
Eventually we made it out of the relegation zone and were still climbing the table. The mid/lower table positions were only separated by a handfull of points. Untill the last week we could have finished in 9th, but eventually we finished 12th which was an amazing turn around.
I am looking forward to giving the pre-season training to get the young players back to full fitness and also, I have arranged a friendly with Arsenal at Highbury which should be fun!
When the end of the season finally came I decided it was time for my aging backroom staff to move on and I replaced them with 2 new coaches, 3 new scouts and 2 physios and I no longer have the need for an assistant.
Also, this season saw my first international. The 18 y/o Scottish midfielder made it into the Scotland U-21 team and Captained them for 3 games, and my goalkeeper, centre back and centre forward have been called up for Wales and the GK Captained in the only game I have seen them in so far.
And the Silverware: Premiership Liverpool Championship Leeds F.A. Cup Liverpool League Cup Arsenal Champions League Valencia U.E.F.A Cup Roma La Liga Valencia
Also, [some player] is now the best player in the World and has swept all of the international awards for the third year running after joining Valencia 4 years ago for £21,000,000 and he is the club captain.
