I have recently become very interested in the LLM style of play. I have played with about 3 different teams but never made an update thread.
Basically what I was wondering is what you guys think makes a good LLM update thread, because I find it strange how some threads do so well and others fail after 2 or 3 posts. Some grow quickly, like Bobby Moore's ***Axis of Excellence*** and others grow slowley.
I think this could make an interesting discussion.
One that follows the rules otherwise it gets closed
Also, one where there is enough detail in the update for people to talk about, but not enough details to be considered tipping. It is a hard balance to find
A good update thread consists of lots of Drivel from the regulars, potbooting, name calling (but not player naming), and every now and again some quotes from star wars or conversations consisting entirely of song titles. Did I miss anything?
just randomly. i forget threads when people havnt updated for a long time, then i lose interest as the amount you have to read to catch up can be silly.
Make sure you include this at the top of your update, helps if your struggling to remember.
Year - League - Team
It would be easier to track if the off-topic interuptions werent so frequent, buts thats LLM forum rules....somewhere, maybe unwritten
A good thread and update don't go in the same line
Except in the phrase: 'An update never makes a good thread'.
Good threads are those in which there's discussion about the LLM ethos in a constructive way. Mind that constructive means not bending the rules and guidelines or trying to wind up regulars. We've not had one of those for the past 2 or 3 years, though
