I am sure people have seen this sort of thing before but it really tickled me. AC milan have been chasing gerrard (i am liverpool). During the game there is an announcement that ac milans, ancelotti is in the crowd.
I have several times attended a match without a reason. Then afterwards the media writes of my appearance on match day and states that they weren't able to figure out why I attended the match.
I nice feature would be some questions about my appearance - just for the love of the game or was I scouting in secret and thus who? Without a question regarding my appearance afterwards it's just a meaningless media feature and comment... Like I saw X manager the other day - so?

Agree but maybe that's to much to ask... But as for now the comments afterwards are just a waste of time and totally meaningless - but then again, journalists also have to keep themselves occupied with something...
Even when I LLM I make sure I have Liverpool marked as my favourite club.
If I then attend a Liverpool game I often get the 'was seen in the crowd' message and 'XXXXX is known to be a big fan of Liverpool and tries to see them play whenever his busy work schedule allows.
It is a nice touch. Likewise, if you have a player shortlisted from a team and attend the game, you can get a media comment from that.
I am guessing that also has the same potential as praising a player when trying to convince them to join your club.
Ooh I like this, I knew about the whole "[manager] was seen in the crowd" thing, because I managed England in the FM08 demo, but didn't know that you could freely attend matches as a club manager. I remember this used to be the "View" feature, so you could watch other matches, but now it's actually got a bit of backstory to it. Nice one.
Nope, available to any manager anywhere. If you want to attend a match, you goto the fixture list and basically click on the 'v' between the two teams.
I often check out the Holland squad, mainly to see how Huntelaar and VDV are doing. But occassionally I check out teams who i'm either about to play, or if i'm checking out a player on my shortlist.
So if there is a player on your shortlist, and you check out a game they're involved with, the media pick up on it and say 'XXXXXX was in the crowd keeping an eye on XXXXX who he is known to be interested in.' If you there to check on your next opponents it says 'XXXX was observing XXXXX team who are his next opposition'.
