Some of them even suggest that others only have a football sim in there life, while at the same time choosing to pontificate on a football sim forum at two in the morning rofl pseudointellectuals abound the irony of it all ey?

patch aside - there were some bugs that occured consistently in many peoples games that should never have got through testing

big ones like a lack of fixtures in the second season

as for the patch - its unrealistic to expect a perfect football manager - such is the nature of the game

I don't get it myself - Surely there's already been 2 patches released?

If they called them Patch 1 and Patch 2 then said they were working on Patch 3, instead of calling them Patch 1 beta and Patch 1 beta 2, would it help all the whingers feel a little bit better?

I'm gonna suggest to SI that they employ someone specifically to spend their entire day answering every comment on every thread moaning about the patch. To be honest they don't even need a person - a machine could do it. All they need to do is copy and paste the one answer on every thread:

GET A LIFE....

For the record, i've installed the game. Played it. No patch. it worked. I'm having a very enjoyable game and achieving commendable success with my team. Thank you SI. Once again you've given me the opportunity to live the illusion that i'm managing my favourite team in the most enjoyable way possible.

I have tried many of the other management sims on the market - they ALL pale into insignificance when compared to FM. An unpatched quirky FM is still streets ahead in terms of playability and realism than any effort by anyone else to compete. They all have their own bugs that come up. in fact, most games do. I was playing pro evo the other day and the opposition scored against me when their striker volleyed into the top corner. But how did he manage that when my defender was standing right in front of him? Because his foot went right through my defender's neck and reached the ball. An annoying graphical glitch but a goal that shouldn't have counted. Should have at least been a foul and the player subbed for injury! Did I complain? Have I reported Pro Evo to trading standards? Have I thrown my game out the window in disghust? Will there ever even be consideration for a patch? Nope - no need. **** happens.

The old adage - if someone has a bad experience he tells ten people. If someone has a good experience he tells one person, or none. For every snivelling child on here complaining and demanding a patch, there are probably ten people out there having the time of their life playing the new game. I'm one of them.

Some of you lot don't deserve a patch. 'We demand hours upon hours of unrivalled entertainment with thousands of unique exciting and gut wrenching moments of sheer joy... for £20. But wait, we want more. We want patches. We want it better. We want this, we want that. WE WANT WE WANT WE WANT!' I want you all to grow up and just play the game. 'But it's unplayable without a patch'. Liar. It's definitely playable and thousands of people are out there playing it happily. So anomalies happen, there's things you don't like. That my friend is football.

Here's an idea SI - next year, DON'T release a patch. Period. Don't plan to, don't intend to, just don't. Thousands of people will still buy and enjoy the game, but all the ungrateful sods on here will learn to shut the hell up. I'm pretty sure, the following year if you do release a patch, gratefulness may increase and they may learn to be a bit patient because they're actually getting one that year. Actually, on second thoughts, I doubt they will...

Fine, another idea SI - CHARGE for the patch. That's right. You are under no compulsion to release a patch, but you do. Fine. Then release one - at £129.95. Let's see how many of the imbiciles decide a patch is all that critical when they've got to shell out for it... 'Oh there's a patch, do I want it? Nah, there's a few quirks but the game's ok as it is, don't need it....'

Chew on all that guys - hopefully, taking the time out from your 'toys out of the pram mentalism' toward SI to answer this thread and throw your abuse at me, might, just might, get you off SI's back and give them the chance to finish the patch that you so crave and (undeservedly) will get...

I normally don't call a particular post 'fanboy' but this post deserves it for its creator. I don't normally say something is unreasonable but for this post I say it is highly unreasonable. I am not normally sarcastic but seriously this post made me laugh and it is easily the most enjoyable post to read since I registered on this forum.

What a perfect example of damned if they do, damned if they dont.

Saying that though for every whinger there is an apologist that is just as un-constructive(not a reference to you btw).

It is not a question of complaining for the sake of it. There are certain things whick SI could have done better, e.g board confidence. I think it a general problem. Also, since the beta patch it always rains in Spain. Most people will agree that the game is same as FM07, we are just suckers! So, instead of taking advantage SI should have released a game worthy of enjoyment. My word the commentry is just simply rubbish, the quality of the language is ********. Moreover, did anyone notice how many time you concede a goal because somone made a mistake! This to Burscoughnian, your opanion is a form of a complaint, your complaing about people who make worthwile contrbutions to the forum.

Oh, it goes both ways, I agree with you 100%.

I'm just as in favour of constructive criticism (Which I'll join in myself quite readily) as I am against sycophantic brown-nosing.

I'm sure people have better things to do than come on here and complain. The problem with the game is quite deep seated, for some people tactics will work, for others they fail miserably. This is not down to whether tactics are well employed by the user or not, but more down to the game being badly designed and unrealistic things happening at different levels of the game.

For example, closing down bug does not effect lower division teams, but if you're playing with a top level team the problem because painfully apparent despite using exactly the same tactical settings.
