People are now finding absolutely anything to whinge about and then blaming it on the as-of-yet fictitious patch.
"FFS SI where is the patch?!? My left back scored two own goals! Then my wife left me because I set fire to my house!"
There are thousands of people playing the game all the time, each game being completely unique on each PC out there. There's bound to be anomalies and quirks people find along the way. That's the nature of this type of game. There is no way SI can somehow fix everything 24 hours after someone posts a thread complaining that their right winger hit the post but it counted as a goal anyway...for the other team and you were somehow knocked out of the Johnson's Paint Trophy inexplicably by Bognor Regis who were playing with two goalkeepers up front.
When this patch IS released, don't expect it to completely revolutionise your game. They're ongoing. Any errors you find, post them in here. Don't throw a complete wobbler and open 17 new threads whining how you're wasted your money. SI need to address issues but not as quickly as some of you lot do. Progression, see?
Carry on. I'm off to set fire to my house. Bloody Bognor! | another apologist!!!

What's funny is people saying "SI don't HAVE to release a patch"...umm yeah so we've payed over £25 for a buggy, anomalous game and we should be grateful that SI have made a patch out of the goodness of their heart?

What amazes me is people who find the game so good spending so much time reading threads about people who disagree with that view.
If you find the game so enjoyable what are you doing on forums reading other peoples complaints, shouldn't you be playing?
Infact these people read so much complaints they start threads complaining about the complaints and have the cheek to try and sound intelligent without having the wit to see the irony of it all.
Some of them even suggest that others only have a football sim in there life, while at the same time choosing to pontificate on a football sim forum at two in the morning rofl pseudointellectuals abound the irony of it all ey?

| I find eating Nesquick cereal enjoyable, that doesn't mean I should be eating it right now. Or that I will eat it soon.
Some people really don't think about what they say!

Let me dumb it down for those of us with limited mental faculties. If i enjoy something i don't spend my time reading about other peoples dissatisfaction of the same thing.

I don't want to read about anyones dissatisfaction. I want to come on these forums for advice, etc. However, I can't because there are too many slating the game. Can't people just use 1 thread.
I just thought FM08 is worth defending, much like Nesquick cereal.

The obvious thing to point out here is that everytime someone complains about a bug, and then demands to know when the patch will be released, they are actually delaying the release. Almost everyday a new bug is mentioned, meaning the team has to go back and fix it before the patch is released, then of course fixing that has a knock on effect on something else, which they have to test and fix and so on. The beta patch was designed to fix the major issues making the game unplayable in some people's eyes, now it just requires patience to wait for the full patch.
