Your Tactic, Whether It Be For Your Current Save Game, or Just Your Favourite Tactic:
When doing my current save game, in Iceland, based on Gundo's challenge, I found myself using a completely new tactic, as normally I'm not that adventurous when it comes to picking a tactic.
Before this game, I have hardly ventured away from a 4-4-2, or a 4-4-2 diamond tactic (4-1-2-1-2).
But with only having a few decent (or not) players at my disposal, I opted for something a bit different:
Being an underdog for the majority of games, I set up defensively, and hoped to break on the counter attack, I set this up with a direct, slightly pacy style, and eventually, after getting a decent, pacy striker, it began to pay dividends. The wing backs provide good service too, for his taller, stronger strike partner.
So the tactic works well with the players at my disposal.
With the odd tweak here and there, it led to an eventual promotion, in the second season of me managing there, an achievement that I'm relatively proud of.
This made me wonder, what tactics other people used, and how much success different styles brought for them.
