Laptop, desktop, doesn't really matter - what matters is the underlying specifications of your system - processor, amount of RAM, etc.
The only time when it matters is if you are playing with power settings (some computers disable things like video card speed when not plugged into a power outlet), or if you have very sensitive thighs and play for a long time. Some laptops do get quite hot.

look in the graphics or the editors forum for badges/logo's/soundpacks etc... and theres usually a patch at the end of the january transfer window with a data update and some more work on any known issues, although i havent seen anything official about that yet...

I'm running 6 nations and 14 leagues on a 1.7Ghz Intel Centrino with 1GB of RAM.
Albeit feels mighty slow compared to the 3.0Ghz E6850 C2D with 4GB of RAM on the desktop.
It'll run ok tho actually it suits me as FM ticks over on slow mode in the background whilsdt I do stuff, whereas the desktop is all coffee, snacks, blood and thunder.
