Ok I'm at Stoke City and after the first season we survived comfortably in 14th position. Anyway, at the end of the season the clubs value was 28.5 million, and next season the board seemed to go cash happy with a 25m budget just to avoid relegation (with it being 15m the season before) and despite having bolstered teh squad with Dos Santos on loan, Adu and Renato Augusto on permanent deals and Garay on loan with a future fee of 10m the budget is gone and the club still has 18m in the bank and a team worth a huge amount but the club is only valued at 17 million now.
This is pretty bewildering because despite a pre-season media prediction of 19th the club is currently 5th in the league and its the beginning of February, it makes no sense as to why the club is worth 11.5 million less than 6 months ago considering all the development thats gone on with the first team and the clubs income etc.
Well a club with a turnover of about 1m a month is making 12m a season profit, which means if someone bought the club out, 18 months they'd have a profit.
Media touts my players Jo and Renato Augusto to be worth 40m a piece, and Jo's actual listed value is 35m so the players value definitely exceeds the clubs value.
No first team player's contract expires this summer so there is at least 18 months left on all my first teams 24+ players
