Would anyone be able to explain the following? The European Club Rankings for the 07/08 season have just been released in my save. My team gained 36 points and chelsea gained 33 points yet they moved up to 1st place from 8th position whereas my team moved up to 5th place from 6th position. I should also mention my team has done better then chelsea in all competitions this season. Thanks for your help. Mike

iirc, the rankings arent based on a single season's performance, more so the performance over 4 or maybe 5 seasons. while you have risen slightly in the rankings, maintaining or bettering your level of success will see you rise even higher...

im just confused as to why having gained more points than chelsea they came from below me to move right to the top of the list?

Its determined by average european performance from the past 5 seasons.
So 6 seasons ago, they may have done bad, which had them below you last year, but with the new calculation, that season is no longer considered, so their average has had a big boost
Basically, think of it like, the last season replaces the season five years prior.
So if the replacement is alot larger, they will jump up quite afew of places.

i think i know whats happened here.

It is done by your last 5 years in European Football, what could of happened is either:


1. Chelsea's last year is now better than yours
2. Your last year previously had been better than your current last year.
