I have a 24 year old striker who is on form, scores in 3 games out of 4, yet end of last season he was CA 180 PA 196 and is now CA 173, and it's December of the same year. Why is he decreasing so fast? I'm playing him regularly, but not over-playing him, his morale is good, he likes the club, he's on of the supporters favourite players... so why now are his stats all decreasing?!
I have also noticed this with a lot of my other players too. Lots of my players stats are decreasing (although not quite so radpidly) this season after finally winning the title last season for the first time in 12 years.

Are you resting players before games too often? In past versions I did this to my big players for a day before every game and this caused a decrease in stats.

did you check his CA whilst he was injured? as that would explain it other that that i cant think of anything else off the top of my head

What is your training schedule? is it the same with your previous seasons or actually you are in first season??

My coaches are pretty good, he's a regen, haven't changed his training at all. I'm real Sporting Gijon and just won the league for the first time last season. I don't rest him too much, definitely not.

injurys can cause this. if he wasnt injured try not to let him play constantly as he will get tired and that can also cause it. try to rest him every now and again and not let him play 40-50 consecutive games
