I have also noticed this with a lot of my other players too. Lots of my players stats are decreasing (although not quite so radpidly) this season after finally winning the title last season for the first time in 12 years.

-What training facilities do you have?
-What training schedule are you using, what is the workload of your coaches and how many stars do your coaches have?
Also, check his professionalism and ambition attributes. These stats define whether the player works hard or slacks off.
