Hi,
I'd like to make managers generally unsafer in their positions, so to have more sackings and therefore a tougher game allround.

So does anyone know what needs to be altered to have more club and national manager seats available during the game?

Find the manager you want to make unsafe in the editor, go to his "Non Player Data" and select the "Board Confidence" tab. If you change the Board Confidence field to 1 he will be very unsafe, set it to 200 and he will be very safe.

Is there a way I can change default board confidence when for instance a new manager joins a club or nation?

I'm afraid not, that's calculated by the game when a new manager is assigned to a club or nation.
